The Amarillo College (AC) Suzuki Program invites the community to a vibrant afternoon of music at its upcoming Suzuki Program Orchestras & Ensembles Concert, set for 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at AC’s Concert Hall Theatre. The performance will showcase talented student musicians from across the AC Suzuki Program, highlighting the growth, discipline, and musical artistry nurtured through the renowned Suzuki teaching method. Families, friends, and supporters of the arts are encouraged to attend and enjoy a wide-ranging program performed by young orchestral and ensemble players.

Amarillo College sophomore Eliza Pearson was about 10 years old back when she first lugged her cello into the Music Building and became a member of the renowned Suzuki Program for young and aspiring musicians at AC.

These days she’s toting that stringed instrument of hers just a couple of miles farther down the road – a relatively short jaunt that nevertheless propels her instantly from academia, esteemed though it may be, to genuinely rarefied air.
